Pediatric Care

Children, like adults, experience stress on their bodies on a regular basis. Even the natural birthing process can significantly stress an infant’s spine and developing nervous system and this is often the first stress many children receive. Stressors on children including repetitive falls, accidents, postural challenges, and using technology.

These daily stressors make a big difference and can lead to aches, pains, headaches, lowered immune function, digestive issues, ADD/ADHD and countless others. More and more, parents are seeking non-pharmaceutical options for their child's health. We work with the child's Pediatrician in order to help promote reaching their optimal health.

We offer a natural option by specifically and gently removing neurological stress to help children grow and thrive.

Parents regularly bring their infants to have them checked for nerve interference after the birthing process. The birthing process can be very traumatic for a newborn and the interference to the nervous system can be the cause of many newborn health complaints, including the following:

  • Colic
  • Fussiness
  • Constipation
  • Latching or nursing difficulties
  • Sleep disturbances
  • Failure to thrive

Numerous spinal problems seen in adults can be prevented during early development. As your child grows and develops they are learning how to hold up the head, sit, crawl and walk. These are all activities that affect spinal alignment and are important times to have a child checked by a doctor of chiropractic. Learn how we can gently help your child if they suffer from the following:

  • Growing pains and aches
  • Allergies and respiratory issues
  • Ear pain and recurrent infections
  • Constipation
  • Stomach pains
  • ADHD/ADD
  • Poor posture
  • Frequently sick/poor overall health

One of the most common questions we get from patients is "are child adjustments like adult adjustments?" The answer is no. Pediatric adjustments are very gentle. No noises or twisting involved; the doctor only uses the same amount of pressure you would use to check the ripeness of a tomato. Dr. Monique specializes in infant and pediatric adjusting techniques and she is a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. We love taking care of children in the office!
