Lotta R. Timberlake D.C. CCSP, DACRB Dr. Timberlake practices in Mid- Missouri’s largest Chiropractic Clinic, with three other Chiropractors. The ambiance of tasteful sophistication in the office is indicative of the desire to provide a superior chiropractic experience. The office is efficient, with computerized paperless note taking and insurance filing and has cutting edge diagnostic capability with digital x-ray.” Every aspect of a patient’s experience is important, from the helpfulness and congeniality of the staff to the comfort of the surroundings and the quality of the care received, “ says Dr. Timberlake. Lotta Timberlake came to the USA from Sweden as an exchange student, stayed finished a BS in Premed. After earning a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from Logan College of Chiropractic in St Louis in 1985, Dr. Timberlake completed certification in Sport Injuries in 1990, also from Logan. In 2006 Dr. Timberlake completed a post-doctoral course and received a Diplomate in Chiropractic rehabilitation from The American Chiropractic Association Rehabilitation Board. “Invest in your health by eating well, drink lots of water, exercise regularly, get adequate rest and manage your stress. Get regular chiropractic adjustment to keep your spine and nervous system healthy, have a reason to get up in the morning, be thankful everyday and you will live a long healthy life” WHY DID YOU WANT TO BECOME A CHIROPRACTOR? I wanted to be in healthcare since I was a little. Chiropractic is health care and as oppose to “sick care”. My goal is to help my patients get well and educate them how to stay healthy. WHAT IS THE FAVORITE PART ABOUT YOUR JOB? Seeing the physical and emotional transformation that a patient experiences when we identify their underlying problem and correct it. And I make a friend in the process. WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU’VE LEARNED FROM YOUR PATIENTS? Listen more and talk less. A good doctor has to be a good listener. I believe that each patient is unique; there are many reasons why they are in pain and end up in my office. As a physician I have a duty to identify and understand their needs that is only accomplished by listening. Fancy diagnostic test only confirm what the patient has told me.
